Dorothy Faye Lucien, known affectionately as Dodie, passed away on October 18, 2024, leaving her family and friends heartbroken. Born in Sioux City, Iowa, on October 20, 1941, to Ethel and Myron Parker, Dodie lived a life filled with love for her family, joy in simple pleasures, and an enduring spirit that touched those who knew her.
She is remembered for her love of bingo, her favorite music, and most importantly, her devotion to her family. Dodie found happiness in being surrounded by her loved ones and could light up any room with her laughter. Her family and friends cherished her presence, and she will be deeply missed by all.
Dodie is survived by her sisters Katherine "Kay" Noonan, Helen Oliver, and Patricia Noonan, as well as her brothers Robert Parker and David Parker. Her legacy lives on through her children William Lucien II and his wife Linda Lucien, and Lisa Stone. She was also a proud grandmother to Regina Zimmermann, Joshua Lucien, and Andrea Lucien, and a great-grandmother to Ava Kriesten, Damien Mackey, Genevieve Zimmermann, Harmony Mackey, and Annabelle Mackey. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband, William H. Lucien, I.
A graveside service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 10 a.m. In honor of Dorothy’s memory, her granddaughter Andrea Lucien has started a fundraiser to help with funeral expenses, and support is encouraged by all who knew her.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dorothy’s family and friends during this difficult time. May she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.
