Donna Helgerson, Aurora, MO—Donna Helgerson passed away on September 25, 2024, after a long and difficult battle with pancreatic cancer. Known for her selflessness and kindness, Donna was a friend who would always extend a helping hand without hesitation. Her passing has left a significant void in the lives of those who knew her.
Donna is survived by her husband Richard and her two sons, Andy and Nick Garrison. With no life or burial insurance, her family is now facing financial challenges, compounded by the costs of her medical care. The Aurora community, in response, has come together to support the Garrison family during this time. A fundraiser, organized by Luanne King on behalf of Andrew Garrison, aims to alleviate some of the financial burden. As of now, donations totaling $225 have been made, including a generous contribution of $200 from Susan Murray and her family.
A celebration of Donna’s life is scheduled to take place at the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora, MO, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the love she shared with so many.
