Dianna Vance Gray, a beloved member of the Houston, TX community, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024. Born on August 6, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas, Dianna lived a fulfilling life enriched by her many talents and deep connections with family, friends, and her faith.
Dianna’s career as a real estate agent was marked by her genuine care for others, helping many families find homes where they could build their lives. Outside of her professional work, she was a gifted artist and a celebrated singer, performing with the Houston Symphony Chorus. Her love for painting and music brought joy not only to her but to everyone fortunate enough to experience her talents.
Her faith played a significant role in her life. Dianna was a devoted member of St. John Lutheran Church, where she actively participated in the church community. Her love and dedication to her faith were a cornerstone of her life, guiding her in her relationships and interactions.
Dianna is survived by her daughter, Sheri Garber; granddaughter, Abigail Garber; grandson, Dustin Hefner; and her beloved niece, Carla English. She was preceded in death by her husband, David V. Gray, and her daughter, Nancy Marie Hefner.
A service to honor Dianna’s life will take place at Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, September 10, at 10 a.m. Klein Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements, offering a space for family and friends to gather in remembrance of Dianna’s beautiful life.
Sheri Garber has organized a fundraiser in memory of her mother, asking for donations in lieu of flowers. The support from the community will help the family during this time. As of now, the goal is set at $500, and contributions can be made to assist the family.
