A vibrant and passionate individual, Derrick was known for his love of basketball and football, along with his fondness for good food, especially as a proud New Orleans native. Derrick’s greatest joy, however, was his daughter Charley. As a devoted "girl dad," Derrick’s face would light up whenever Charley entered the room, and he cherished every moment with her.
To assist with funeral expenses, a fundraiser has been set up by Gina Brown, aiming to give Derrick the proper burial he deserves.
