Dena Pereira, Newark, NJ Community Mourns Beloved Friend and Mother

Dena Pereira, Newark, NJ— Dena Pereira passed away on November 6, 2024, after battling multiple health challenges over the years, including heart failure, diabetes, and several strokes. She was deeply loved by those who knew her for her strength, compassion, and generosity.

Dena’s remarkable ability to make others feel welcomed and cherished was something everyone appreciated. She was known for her wonderful cooking, her infectious laughter, and her heartwarming stories that brought cheer to those around her. Most importantly, Dena was a devoted mother to her two sons, Elijah and Jayden, whom she cherished above all.

In the wake of her passing, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help cover the costs of her services. So far, $725 has been raised, thanks to the kind donations of several people, including Pipo & Jessie Rodriguez, Jackie Santos, Edward Duprey, and Juan Abreu.

On Facebook, many have expressed their sorrow and shared fond memories of Dena. Yoly Veras wrote, “Dena, You’ll Be Deeply Missed. My thoughts are with your loved ones during this difficult time. May your memory be a blessing to all who knew you.” Leonora Carmenatty also shared, “Oh no, S.I.P. beautiful angel. She was an awesome person that loved everyone who came around her. Sending my prayers to her family.”
