Delia Rosa Balderas, Racine, WI— Delia Rosa Balderas passed away on Thursday, November 14th, 2024. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter whose legacy was built on unwavering faith and deep love for her family.
Delia was known for her generosity, kindness, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. As a grandmother, or “Buela,” she found immense joy in caring for her grandchildren and imparting her wisdom. She supported her children through every step of life, encouraging them to follow their passions in music, art, sports, and beyond. As a wife and sister, Delia loved deeply, and her presence in any room was known for the warmth and laughter she brought with her.
Her family describes her as a woman who always made sure that others felt loved and appreciated. A skilled cook, Delia delighted in serving others through her meals, and her infectious laughter created lasting memories for all who knew her.
Delia’s passing has left a significant void in the hearts of those who were close to her. She is survived by her husband, Efren Balderas; her children, Imelda, Hilda, Efren Jr., and Fernando Balderas; her grandchildren, Issiah, Christian, and Gavin Hamilton, Nicholai and Jaxon Deadrick, Mackenzie Balderas, and Githyan, Jaythmar, and Yarethxy Balderas; as well as her daughter-in-law, Thayra Cardenas; and her siblings in Chicago, IL, and Mexico. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Delia Balderas, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, WI. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Old Holy Cross Cemetery in Racine, WI.
Her family has set up a fundraiser to help cover the financial burdens associated with the funeral. As of now, $200 has been raised towards the goal.
