Known for his vibrant personality and love for farm life, David lived on a 10-acre property where he nurtured a passion for animals, a passion he passed on to his granddaughter, Autumn Onopiuk.
David, affectionately known as the "boot scoot n boogie guy," was deeply loved by his family, including his children, grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Taco. His passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew him, especially his partner John, and his granddaughter, who recently got married on August 23rd, a moment David was thankfully able to witness.
In 2019, David began a challenging medical journey that included strokes, seizures, and dementia. Despite these challenges, his family, particularly his daughter and her partner John, provided unwavering care and support. They became a single-income household as his daughter devoted herself full-time to ensuring David’s comfort and well-being.
To honor David’s memory and to help his family navigate this difficult time, Autumn Onopiuk has organized a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses and to give her father the opportunity to take time off work to support her mother.
