Darwyn E. "Dar" Bryant, East Alton, IL— Darwyn E. Bryant, known as Dar to his friends and family, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the age of 64. He leaves behind a profound legacy of service and generosity that touched the lives of many in the community. Dar was a man of deep faith, a dedicated director at the Dream Center of Alton, and an active member of The River Church, where he contributed as a media department producer.
Dar’s passion for helping others was evident in his work at the Dream Center, where he served those often overlooked by society. His life was defined by selflessness, as he put others before himself, driven by a mission to offer hope and assistance to those in need. His love for his family was unwavering, and he was fiercely protective of his wife and loved ones.
In addition to his community work, Dar was an author, penning the book “360 Degrees: Full Circle”, and he enjoyed collecting and trading antiques. His unexpected passing has left his family facing financial difficulties, as Dar did not have a life insurance policy to cover funeral expenses. A fundraiser has been established by Rochelle Bewley on behalf of Alisha McKee to help with the costs.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dar’s family and all who knew him. His legacy of giving and compassion will not be forgotten.
We are deeply saddened to learn of Darwyn E. Bryant’s passing. Our hearts go out to his loved ones during this challenging time.
