Daniel Ranns, a vibrant 18-year-old from Victoria, BC, tragically passed away on Sunday, November 3rd, following a car accident. His untimely departure has left a deep void in the lives of his family and community. Daniel was known for his infectious energy, his love for the outdoors, and his talent in lacrosse. His friends and family fondly remember his joyful spirit, which touched everyone he met.
In a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, Tim Ramos shared his thoughts: "It’s been a pleasure Rannzy, thank you for all the joyful memories you’ve given to all of us. We will never forget how you treated each and every single one of us. I’m just glad that we became closer throughout the past few years we’ve known each other. Still can’t believe I’m saying goodbye to one of, if not my favourite redneck. Sad to see you gone so early. Rest easy, love you buddy and hope you’re doing well now."
A fundraiser has been launched by Jessica Marchand to help support the Ranns family during this incredibly difficult time. The goal is to raise $12,000 to assist the family with funeral expenses and provide financial support as they cope with their loss. All donations will go directly to Daniel’s family, including his parents Adam and Dawn, as well as his siblings Rosie, Benjamin, and Jenna.
Daniel’s memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and laughter will continue to inspire his community.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Ranns family as they navigate this painful time. May Daniel rest in peace, and may his family find strength and comfort in the love and support surrounding them.
