With a double major from CMU, she had high hopes of achieving great success in her career, exploring the world, and learning from its diverse cultures. She also had a deep passion for her hometown, always dreaming of playing a key role in putting Detroit back on the map.
Her daughter, Angeliah Rita Braswell, was the light of her life. Crystal’s love for Angeliah was evident in everything she did, and she dedicated herself entirely to her daughter. Despite her dreams and aspirations, Crystal’s life was cut short, and she has now been called back into the arms of God.
The family is now seeking support to cover funeral expenses, with a GoFundMe campaign set up to honor her legacy. Crystal leaves behind her husband, Joe Braswell; daughter, Angeliah; sister, Tiffany Williams; mother, Harriet Sloan; and father, Michael Williams.
