Cornelius Joiner, Tunica, MS—The family of Cornelius Joiner is receiving overwhelming support from their community as they continue to cope with the loss of Cornelius, who passed away on May 7, 2023. His mother, Debra Joiner, has been steadfast in her faith, sharing her journey as both the mother and father to her two sons, Cornelius and Nadarius.

Debra has shared that despite the tragic circumstances, she was able to lay Cornelius to rest by God’s grace, with minimal assistance from others. Now, she faces a new challenge as she mourns the loss of her last son, Nadarius Joiner. The family has been raising funds to cover the remaining funeral costs for Nadarius, with a goal of $1,700 to cover the shortfall.
