Cora was a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother known for her spirited and feisty nature. She found immense joy and fulfillment in her career as a truck driver, embracing the freedom and adventure of the open road. Her wild child spirit and larger-than-life personality left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Despite her health struggles, including a stage 4 cancer diagnosis and multiple surgeries, Cora remained a pillar of strength and perseverance. Her daughter, Jessica Chapman, spoke of her mother’s unwavering determination and generous heart, describing her as the strongest person she had ever known. Cora’s nurturing spirit and love for others, especially children, were evident in her everyday actions.
Cora is survived by her daughters, Jessica Chapman and Cheryl Whitt, her sister Carol Skaling, her brothers Clayton Garrett and Carl Garrett, and three cherished grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clerbourne and Betty Setzer Garrett.
