Colleen, known for her kind spirit and willingness to help others, dedicated over 20 years to managing the service deli at Mar-Val in Georgetown, where she made countless friends and connections with her customers and coworkers alike.
Her health challenges began in early September with a stroke and heart attack, leading to her being transported to Sutter Roseville ICU. Although Colleen showed signs of recovery, including making strides in physical and speech therapy, she faced another serious stroke just days before her anticipated return home. This subsequent stroke left her without the ability to speak, move her limbs, or swallow, and the complications ultimately led to her passing at age 64.
Colleen’s family remembers her as a devoted mother to her two children, Jonathan (Jon) Green and April Juarez, and a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren: Lydia, Charlotte, Autumn, and Jonathan. Her resilience over the past eight years, battling health issues and dementia, was supported by her family through the In-Home Support Services program, which allowed them to provide her with constant care.
In light of her passing, Colleen’s family is struggling to meet the financial demands of her final expenses. A fundraiser organized by her relative, Kasper-Leigh Green, has been established with a goal of $3,500 to help cover these costs.
