Cody Chad Henry, Oxnard, CA, Community Honors the Life of a Beloved Friend

Cody Chad Henry—Chad to those close to him—passed away on October 22nd, 2024, after bravely fighting heart complications and other health issues. At 31 years old, Chad left behind a legacy of laughter, resilience, and deep connections with those who knew him. His sudden passing has left the Oxnard community, his family, and his friends heartbroken.

Chad’s infectious sense of humor, bright smile, and kind heart made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Despite the hardships he faced, he never let it show, always greeting the world with positivity. His friend, Chris Alexander Rodriguez, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, saying, "Rest in Paradise to a brother from another mother… everything you went through you did it with a smile.. that’s how I will remember you carnal. Rest in peace Chad Cody Henry." Jason T Beard also reminisced about their time together, saying, "Damn Rest In Peace Chad. That was tha homie back in Jr. High School."

Chad’s family is now grappling with the financial strain of his memorial expenses. A fundraiser organized by Daniel Adams aims to help cover the costs of Chad’s funeral.
