Clay Hawksworth, Hershey, PA—The community of Hershey, PA, is mourning the loss of Clay Hawksworth, who tragically passed away due to injuries from a car accident on Sunday, July 28, 2024. Clay was a beloved husband, soon-to-be father, and a dedicated soldier.
Clay’s parents, Francine and Wayne Hawksworth, are devastated by the loss of their eldest son. Known for his willingness to help others, Clay was cherished by all who knew him. His commitment to his country was profound, having served in the US Army with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. The unseen injuries from his service continued to affect him and many others who served.
Clay’s wife, Angie, is expecting their first child, a baby boy, in October. The loss of Clay is especially heartbreaking as Angie faces the future without him. To support Angie and their unborn child, Kimberly Brandstedter has organized a fundraiser. The goal is to raise $15,000 to help with the unforeseen challenges Angie and the baby will encounter.
As of today, $200 has been raised through a single anonymous donation. The family has requested that donations to the fund be made in place of flowers and other sympathy gifts.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Clay Hawksworth. Our thoughts and prayers are with Angie, the baby, and the entire Hawksworth family during this incredibly difficult time.
