Christopher M. Krause, Appleton, WI—Christopher M. Krause, aged 42, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Appleton. Born on July 9, 1982, in Waupaca, WI, Chris was known for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing, and his fondness for camping, watching movies, and spending time with his family.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Jaidah Krause, and her fiancé, Justin Hall; his son, Draven Krause; his parents, Mike and Kim Krause; his brother, Brandon Krause; and his sister, Alyssa Nelson, along with her husband, Brad. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Tessa, Sophie, Adryana, Bentley, and Buxton; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Knoepfle, and her husband, Willie; his paternal grandparents, Lee and Lois Krause; two uncles, Dave Schneider and his wife, Carrie, and Dan Schneider and his wife, Marcia; three aunts, Liz Struck and her husband, Brian, Kerry Schultz and her husband, Kevin, and Sally Dittmar and her husband, Craig; as well as his best friend since the 6th grade, Dan France, and many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his infant sister, Cassandra, and his maternal grandfather, Art Schneider.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Lewin Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Fremont, with visitation from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The family appreciates any donations made for the service, and a fundraiser has been organized by Drie Fahser on behalf of Kim Krause, with a goal of $9,000. The community is invited to show their support through donations, which are greatly valued by the family.
Chris will be remembered for his kind heart, love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him.
