Cheylo Perkins Chongtim, Waianae Community in Grief as Beloved Father Passes Away

Waianae, HI—It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Cheylo Perkins Chongtim, a cherished father, brother, and friend to many. Cheylo was a devoted father who worked tirelessly to provide for his family. His unexpected passing has left his children facing an uncertain future without the guidance and love of their father.

Cheylo’s passing has deeply impacted the Waianae community, and in this time of grief, his loved ones have come together to support his six youngest children. A fundraiser has been organized by Cheyenne Gomez, aiming to raise $1,000 to assist with the immediate and ongoing costs his children will face in the wake of this tragedy. The funds will help cover essential living expenses, educational needs, counseling, and other future necessities to ensure his children can navigate this difficult time with some stability.

So far, the community has shown their support, with six donations amounting to $596. Among the generous contributors are Terry Baldwin, Naomi Serratos, Heather Slinde, Stefany Cruz, and an anonymous donor, each contributing $100 to help reach the fundraiser’s goal.
