A retired Navy veteran, Charles was a loving father to Lashantai Lawrence and a cherished grandfather to three grandchildren. He spent the last few years of his life at Bonterra Transitional Care and Rehabilitation, where he was surrounded by care and love.
Charles had been battling dementia for the past four years and recently suffered from pneumonia, multiple strokes, a heart attack, and respiratory issues. Despite his courageous fight, he passed away while in hospice care, leaving his family in deep sorrow.
A fundraiser has been organized by his daughter, Lashantai Lawrence, to assist with the funeral and burial arrangements. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 4th, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the East Point Chapel of Gus Thornhill’s Funeral Home.
