Charles Dave Herring, Warrenton, MO—Charles "Dave" Herring passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He had bravely battled numerous health challenges, including diabetes, heart disease, end-stage renal failure, and pneumonia. His faith and family were his anchors throughout his life, and they provided him with the strength to make his final decision.
Dave, just shy of his 62nd birthday, was known for his warm and welcoming nature, never meeting a stranger. He shared a home with his brother, Larry, for over 30 years, where they supported one another through life’s challenges. Despite being legally blind, Dave maintained an active and vibrant life, even creating a popular Facebook group, "All Ford Forum," which brought together over 12,000 members who shared his passion for Ford vehicles.
In the wake of his passing, a fundraiser organized by Paulette Bauman has been set up to cover cremation and other expenses, as well as to support Larry in adjusting to life without his brother and best friend. So far, $160 has been raised out of the $8,000 goal, thanks to the generous contributions of Jack Miles, Frances Rainwater, and Cynthia Milburn.
The community of Warrenton remembers Dave for his kindness, his strong faith, and his love for family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Charles "Dave" Herring. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
