Catherine Ann Watson Murray, a beloved member of her community, passed away recently in a tragic accident. Known for her love of art, animals, and online gaming, Cathy’s sudden departure has left her family, friends, and the gaming community in deep mourning.
Catherine, born June 29th, 1972, was married to her best friend Marc for 25 years. Her love for bunnies, horses, and her "cat babies" was matched only by her passion for creating art, including drawing, writing, and painting. A devoted Dungeons and Dragons player, Cathy’s energy and enthusiasm were infectious to all who knew her.
Tragically, Cathy died in a one-vehicle accident due to black ice, a sudden and unexpected loss that has left her husband, Marc, struggling both emotionally and financially. At the time of the accident, Marc was across the state caring for his mother in hospice care. A disabled individual, Marc is unable to work, and Cathy’s passing has created a severe financial burden for the couple.
In response to this loss, a fundraiser has been set up by Destiny Furrow to assist Marc with living expenses, bills, and funeral costs. The goal is to raise $8,000 to help him during this challenging time. As of now, no donations have been made, but the community is encouraged to share the fundraiser and contribute if possible.
The love Cathy shared with those around her will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
Our hearts go out to Marc and Cathy’s loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
