Carole Broadbent, Huntsville, ON— Carole Broadbent passed away on November 23, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with illness. She had been experiencing severe stomach pains for a few weeks before seeking emergency care on November 12th, which led to the discovery of stage 4 cancer throughout her abdomen. Despite undergoing surgery to remove part of her colon and fighting off an infection in the ICU, Carole’s health deteriorated, and she passed away while preparing for breakfast in the hospital.

Her daughter, Ariel, reflects on the love and dedication her mother showed as a single mom, always striving to make her feel special and valued. Carole was an incredibly hard-working woman who always found a way to make things work for her family, even through difficult times.

A fundraiser has been created by Nicole Broadbent to help Ariel and her family cope with the financial strain following this sudden loss. The funds raised will assist Ariel in navigating the next steps of life without her mother. As of November 24, 2024, $850 CAD has been donated through the campaign.
