Carlos Dimajo, Calgary, Alberta—The community is deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Carlos Dimajo, who tragically suffered a fatal heart attack on October 10th. Originally from El Salvador, Carlos had moved to Canada ten years ago in search of a better future for his family. His sudden passing has left an immense void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Carlos was known for his kindness and dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and hardworking individual who always strived to provide a better life for his loved ones. Alongside his wife, he built a beautiful family with three young children—Eva (9 years old), Alissa (4 years old), and Lucas (2 years old). Despite the many challenges of being far from his homeland, Carlos always remained hopeful and gave his best to secure a brighter future for his family.

Now, his grieving family faces the difficult and overwhelming task of repatriating Carlos’s remains to El Salvador so that his loved ones there can say their final goodbyes. The cost of this process, combined with the emotional and financial toll on his young children, is far beyond what the family can afford. A GoFundMe campaign, organized by Diana Martinez, has been launched to raise $20,000 to cover the repatriation expenses and to support his children in this time of need.

In just a short time, the community has already shown immense support. Donations have started to come in, with contributions from Rebeca di-Majo ($25), Lourdes Rivero ($50), and an anonymous donor ($5), helping the family get closer to their goal. Every donation, no matter how small, is appreciated as it helps Carlos’s family through this heartbreaking journey.
