His commitment to his beliefs led him across the globe, from Brazil to Suriname, the USA, Russia, and finally Canada. Throughout his life, Carlos was a leader, teacher, and mentor, guiding others to live lives filled with faith, love, and peace.
In Canada, Carlos and his wife, Suzanne Claveau, continued their mission of service by opening their home to foster children. Over the years, they welcomed more than 25 youth into their home, providing love, care, and support even as Carlos faced his own health challenges. His calm demeanor, listening ear, and non-judgmental spirit made him a pillar of strength for his family and community.
As Carlos’s health continues to decline, his family is preparing for the inevitable. A fundraiser organized by his daughter, Carla Claveau-Ferreira, has been set up to help cover the costs of his funeral and to allow the family some time off work to grieve and be together.
