Candido Manalo, Edison, NJ—It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of Candido Manalo on August 5th, 2024. Candido was a cherished husband, father, and friend, who deeply touched the lives of many around him. Born in the Philippines on February 2, 1953, he met the love of his life, Lydia, and together they built a family full of love and warmth.
Candido’s passions included gardening and cooking, which he lovingly shared with those around him. He was also an avid basketball fan, often watching games with his daughter Melanie, cheering enthusiastically for the Boston Celtics. As a devoted Lolo, he cherished his time with his grand-dog, Poe.
The Manalo family’s loss is immense, and the community is coming together to support them during this difficult time. A fundraiser has been organized by Christine Martirez to help cover the costs of Candido’s funeral services, allowing the family to honor his memory and say their final goodbyes. Despite the $15,000 goal, there have yet to be any donations, and the family deeply appreciates any support that can be provided.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Manalo family and offer our prayers for comfort and peace during this time of grief.
