Brenton was a cherished husband, father of two, grandfather of three, and great-grandfather of two. Known for his warm personality and willingness to help others, Brenton’s passing has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew him.

On the evening of August 6, Brenton left his home at around 7:00 p.m. to inflate a tire and fill his wife’s car with petrol. His last words to his wife, Elizabeth, were, “Love you, darling,” as he walked out the door—a phrase he often said, but this time would be the last. Shortly after, a motor vehicle accident claimed his life, leaving his family and friends in shock and grief.

Brenton was a beloved figure in his community, especially known for his role as a taxi driver, a job he continued with passion even at the age of 75. Despite enduring personal hardships, he remained resilient, never complaining and always looking forward.

His passing has left his wife, Lizzie, in a difficult position. They had recently learned they would need to vacate their rented home, and now Lizzie faces the uncertainty of finding new accommodation while dealing with her own serious health issues. To support Lizzie during this challenging time, Brenton’s family and friends have organized a fundraiser with a goal of $15,000 AUD to help her with these immediate financial burdens.
