Brent Lee McGowan, Saranac, MI— Brent Lee McGowan passed away on the morning of September 15th following a tragic motorcycle accident. He was 46 years old. Brent’s death has left a profound sadness in the hearts of his loved ones, as the accident took him away suddenly and unexpectedly.
Brent was thrown 25 feet from his motorcycle and was rushed to a local hospital by life flight. Unfortunately, despite receiving critical care, Brent sustained a traumatic brain injury that left no hope for recovery. His loved ones had nine days to say their goodbyes, share their love, and begin the painful grieving process.
Brent is survived by his mother, Nancy; his father, Frank, and his wife, Teresa; his brothers, Clint and Heath; his four children, Brentlee, Skylar, Kali, and Xavier; as well as his fiancée, Brittany, and their daughter, Rilei. The loss of Brent has left a deep hole in their lives, and the grief is overwhelming.
Brittany Linsley, his fiancée, has organized a fundraiser in memory of Brent to help cover the expenses following his passing. The funds raised will go toward his cremation and any additional costs will be given to his mother and children to help with ongoing expenses. So far, the campaign has raised $150 from one donation, with a goal of $3,500.
