Bogale Kenea Wayessa, Tampa, FL— Bogale Kenea Wayessa, a devoted father and husband, passed away on November 4, 2024, after a prolonged battle following a devastating accident. Originally from Ethiopia, Bogale moved to the United States with his wife and three children, hoping for a brighter future. However, tragedy struck in March 2022 when he was involved in a severe accident while driving to work in Tampa, Florida, where he was struck by an uninsured motorist.
Despite suffering severe brain and body injuries, Bogale’s family never gave up on him. For over two and a half years, they provided round-the-clock care, offering unwavering support in hopes of his recovery. The toll on his family—emotionally, physically, and financially—was immense. Their steadfast love and care, however, could not prevent his passing.
Now, his wife and children are facing the heartbreaking task of bringing his body back to Ethiopia for a proper funeral, allowing his extended family, who had been praying for his recovery, to say their goodbyes and find closure. A fundraiser has been set up by Feyera Milkessa to assist the family with the funeral and related expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
The community has already shown their support, with donations flowing in from generous individuals such as Tadele Gelassie and Wassie Yusuf, who are helping ease the burden on the grieving family.
Our hearts go out to the Wayessa family during this time of profound sorrow. May Bogale rest in peace, and may his family find strength in their faith and love for him.
We extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to the Wayessa family during this challenging time.
