Bob Peterson, St. Paul, MN — The community is mourning the loss of Bob Peterson, who passed away on Wednesday, July 24th. Bob was known for his sweet, funny, and silly nature, bringing joy to everyone around him.
Bob’s sister, Michelle Juelfs, has organized a fundraiser to help cover the expenses for his celebration of life and funeral. As of today, $1,025 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal, thanks to the generosity of 17 donors. Notable contributions include $100 from Gina Richardson, who made both the most recent and top donations, and $25 from Lisa Campbell, the first donor.
Bob spent most of his life on the East Side of St. Paul, living in areas such as Wilson Avenue, Minnehaha, and Edgerton. Most recently, he resided at Roseville Senior House. He was a beloved fixture in Michelle’s family home, so much so that he was unofficially adopted by them.
Known for his infectious laugh, bright smile, and kind heart, Bob left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Tragically, he lost his battle with depression, leaving behind many who loved him dearly. He did not have life insurance, prompting the family to seek financial assistance for his final arrangements.
Bob had a great affection for his kitty, Precious, who passed away a few months ago due to diabetes. He also loved race cars, hot rods, and Harleys, with matchbox cars hidden all over his apartment. His memory lives on as the community remembers him zooming around in his motorized wheelchair, engaging with everyone he encountered.
The fundraiser organized by Michelle Juelfs aims to honor Bob’s memory and provide him with a fitting farewell. The community is encouraged to contribute or share the story to help reach the goal.
