Murrieta, CA—The Murrieta community mourns the loss of Bob Barnett, a cherished figure whose dedication to family, sports, and community left a lasting impact. Bob, a devoted husband to Linda for 44 years, passed away recently, leaving a profound void in the lives of those who knew him.

For over two decades, Bob coached local youth athletes, inspiring them to excel both in sports and in life. His commitment extended beyond the field as he became a steadfast supporter of his son’s high school football team and an enthusiastic presence at Winterguard competitions. Bob’s role as President of the local Golf Cart organization underscored his commitment to his POTL community, where he was always ready to lend a hand and improve the neighborhood.

In 2018, Bob’s health began to decline, and despite his resilience, he never fully regained his strength. Now, his family seeks to honor his legacy with a memorial that reflects the love and joy he brought to their lives. A fundraiser organized by Lisa Rechsteiner is underway to support his memorial service and to provide for Linda during this challenging time. Generous donors, including Bryce Cunningham, Gina Rivera, and an anonymous contributor, have already offered their support.
