Bethany Zimmerman, Boise, ID — The community is mourning the loss of Bethany Zimmerman, who passed away recently after battling stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the esophagus. Bethany’s condition had rapidly worsened, spreading to other parts of her body, leading her to make end-of-life plans with a focus on providing for her family.
Bethany is survived by her husband, James, and their two children, Cole (17) and Zoey (8). The family had planned carefully, but unexpected expenses arose during Bethany’s final days when she required additional hospice care. This unforeseen burden prompted a call for support from friends and family.
A fundraiser organized by Brittany Rosenthal, a long-time friend of Bethany, has been launched to help cover the costs of Bethany’s Celebration of Life and support her family. So far, $2,880 has been raised out of the $5,000 goal, with contributions from 19 donors, including significant donations from Eric Zimmerman and Don Zimmerman, each contributing $500.
The community has expressed their condolences and support through touching Facebook posts. Charles L. Thompson and Brittany Rosenthal have shared heartfelt messages, emphasizing the impact Bethany had on their lives. Brittany Rosenthal wrote, "While this is not the direction Bethany or James wanted to go, circumstances are such that the family has decided to seek support from Bethany’s friends and family."
Bethany’s memory will live on through the love and joy she brought to those around her. Her family and friends will cherish the moments they shared with her, finding comfort in the legacy she left behind.
