Bertalica Gonzalez De Robledo, known to many as "Mami Betty," has passed away, leaving her family and community heartbroken. A warrior in every sense of the word, Mami Betty fought bravely against a debilitating illness that affected her liver, kidneys, and diabetes for over two years. Despite the pain and suffering she endured, she remained cheerful and dedicated to her family, always motivated by the hope of returning to her beloved Long Beach.
Her passing has deeply impacted her husband, her four children, thirteen grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. Described as a strong, happy, and loving woman, she continued to persevere through her struggles, prioritizing her family above all else. The extensive medical treatments and hospital stays over the last two years have been financially taxing on the family.
To help ease the burden of funeral expenses and give her the dignified and memorable farewell she deserves, a fundraiser has been organized by Thania Mendez. As of now, kind-hearted individuals have started to contribute to the cause. Some of the recent donors include Aldo Castaneda ($100), Sebas Sanchez ($20), Jessica Torres ($75), Jorge Robles ($100), and Ana Martinez ($25).
Billy Robledo also shared his heartfelt thoughts on Facebook, among others who have expressed their sorrow and support during this difficult time.
The love and strength Mami Betty brought to her family will be remembered forever. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and offer prayers for peace and healing.
