Benjamin Bonneau, Saint-Hubert, QC—Benjamin Bonneau passed away after a tragic incident that has left the community heartbroken. The devastating event occurred on Tuesday, July 30th, when an unprovoked and senseless act of violence took Benjamin’s life. He was shot in the head by a man driven by inexplicable rage. Benjamin fought bravely for his life, but it is with heavy hearts that we learned he could not overcome his injuries.
Benjamin was known for his kind and joyful nature. He had a unique ability to bring happiness to those around him, making everyone forget their troubles with his infectious spirit. His friends fondly remember him as a person without malice, always cheerful and playful. Benjamin’s untimely and undeserved death has deeply affected his family and friends.
In light of this tragedy, Fanny Cyr has organized a fundraiser on behalf of Max Max to help alleviate the financial burden on Benjamin’s immediate family. The fundraiser, created on August 4th, 2024, has so far raised $1,910 CAD out of the $11,000 CAD goal, with contributions from 22 generous donors. Among the donations, an anonymous donor gave $1,000, making it the top contribution, while Amina Badaoui’s $5 donation is the most recent.
The community is coming together to support Benjamin’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Friends of Benjamin, who described him as a “real joy on two legs,” are asking for help through donations or sharing the fundraiser to ease the family’s suffering and manage the expenses that follow such a tragic loss.
We extend our deepest sympathies to the Bonneau family and all who knew and loved Benjamin. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this painful time.
