Known affectionately as "Hajji" by those close to him, Anthony was 47 years old and had spent the past eight years in the United States in pursuit of better opportunities.
Anthony’s passing has left his wife, two children, elderly mother, and siblings in Nigeria devastated, as they face the challenges of arranging his burial without the support of health insurance. In response, Oluwafunmilayo Ebeh has organized a fundraiser to ensure that Anthony receives a dignified farewell.
The fundraiser, titled "Ensure a Dignified Farewell for Anthony Paul," has so far raised $250 of the $10,000 goal, with contributions from kind-hearted individuals like Rashida Bello, who donated $200, and an anonymous donor who gave $50. The funds are urgently needed to cover burial expenses and to secure his release from the morgue in the coming days.
