Angelita Medigovich, Mesa, AZ—Angelita Medigovich, a beloved member of her family and community, has recently passed away, leaving a profound impact on those who knew her. Known for her kindness and unwavering spirit, Angelita dedicated 28 and a half years to the Los Angeles County Office of Education in Downey before retiring, cherished by colleagues and friends alike.
Angelita was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s/dementia in 2012, but with the devoted care of her daughter, Veronica Contreras, and her grandson, she was able to remain at home, surrounded by the comfort of familiar faces and love. Her family recounts her as a beautiful soul, blessed with a sweet and generous nature. A devout individual, Angelita attended church six days a week and built deep, enduring connections within her community.
On October 25th, Angelita’s health took a critical turn, leading to an emergency hospital admission. She underwent surgery but faced severe complications. After five days, her family made the decision to bring her home for hospice care, allowing her to be surrounded by loved ones during her final moments. On November 1st, Angelita passed away peacefully at 7:40 pm.
Veronica Contreras has organized a fundraiser to assist with funeral expenses, with $55 raised so far from four generous supporters. Donations from Yolanda Gutierrez, Angela Solorio, Adri Reyes, and Marlon Bellamy reflect the heartfelt sympathy and support of the community.
We extend our deepest condolences to Angelita Medigovich’s family. May her memory be a blessing, and may they find comfort during this difficult time.
