Andrew Edward Moschner, a beloved Marine Veteran from Waltham, MA, passed away unexpectedly on August 11, 2024. He was at home, peacefully seated on his couch, when he tragically succumbed to a brain lesion, stroke, and aneurysm. His sudden passing has left his wife, Lauren Marie Moschner, and his parents, Eileen and George, in profound grief.
Moschner, known for his calm demeanor and generosity, served his country with honor during his time in the Marines, including deployments on the 31st MEU and to Afghanistan. His friends and fellow Marines fondly remember him as a modest man who always put others’ well-being before his own.
The loss is particularly heartbreaking for Lauren, who is currently in the first trimester of pregnancy. The couple had planned to name their expected child Andrew if it was a boy. The memory of their first child, Kaitlyn Madison Moschner, who was born sleeping in 2016, adds another layer of sorrow to this tragic event. Andrew will be laid to rest at Calverton Military Cemetery, where baby Kaitlyn will join him in eternal rest.
A fundraiser organized by Antonio Catalan has been established to support Lauren as she faces the difficult journey ahead. The fundraiser has raised $250 out of its $8,000 goal, with donations from Sophanna Ken, Antonio Catalan, and Brandon Carmody. The funds will assist Lauren with expenses as she navigates life without her beloved husband.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Andrew Edward Moschner. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lauren, their unborn child, and the entire Moschner family during this incredibly difficult time.
