Amanda Faulkner, Indiana—Amanda Faulkner is in critical condition after a severe medical emergency earlier this month, leaving her family in deep distress. On August 9th, Amanda was discovered in her apartment after nearly bleeding out due to ulcers in her gastrointestinal tract and esophagus. She has since been placed in hospice care at the Parkview Randallia hospice center, where she remains unresponsive.
Amanda’s sister, Chandra Woolfolk, rushed to Indiana to be by her side and make critical decisions regarding her care. Despite their estranged relationship, Chandra has taken on the responsibility of ensuring Amanda’s final wishes are fulfilled. Amanda’s condition deteriorated rapidly due to multiple organ failures, including cirrhosis of the liver and complete kidney shutdown. The doctors attempted dialysis, but after two days, Amanda’s chances of recovery were deemed nearly impossible.
On August 16th, Chandra faced the heartbreaking decision of moving Amanda to hospice care, where she could pass peacefully, as per the medical recommendations. Now, Chandra is focused on honoring Amanda’s dying wish to be buried.
To cover the burial costs, which start at $3,600, Chandra has initiated a fundraiser. As of today, $190 has been raised through the kindness of three donors: Sarah Benhardt, Mckayla Faulkner, and Blake Benson. The funds will go toward securing a burial plot and a headstone, with any remaining money to be given to Amanda’s 8-year-old daughter, Kyah.
Chandra expresses immense gratitude for the support she has received during this difficult time and asks for further assistance to give Amanda the respectful farewell she deserves.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Amanda Faulkner’s family as they navigate this challenging period.
