Alistair Shillito, Douglas—The family of Alistair Shillito is grieving after his unexpected passing in hospital on the 7th of October 2024 at 2:15 p.m. He was 59 years old. Alistair was well-known for his lively personality and his love for socializing, often bringing joy to those around him with his cheeky sense of humor. His passion for playing pool, attending whist drives, and singing Elvis songs on karaoke left lasting memories with his friends and family.
Alistair spent his last years at the Tutor Lodge in Douglas, where he found love once more with Emily, whom he married after a heartwarming proposal. The two enjoyed long walks, church services, and whist drives together. Sadly, after Emily’s passing, Alistair was never the same, but he continued to speak fondly of her until his final moments. His final wish was to be cremated and for his ashes to be reunited with Emily’s.
In an effort to fulfill Alistair’s wishes and give him the farewell he deserves, his brother Alan Shillito has created a GoFundMe page. The fundraiser is asking for help to cover funeral expenses. The first donation has come from Tracey Kermeen, who contributed £5 in support.
