Family, friends, and the St. Croix community mourn Wahili James, 31, and Samuel Rivera, 34, after a fatal incident at a Peter’s Rest bar in the early hours of June 7, 2026.
The Virgin Islands Police Department said officers responded at about 3:45 a.m. after multiple emergency calls reported trouble at the local bar.
Authorities found several people hurt at the scene, and officials later confirmed that Wahili James and Samuel Rivera had died.
Two other people, including a minor and a 30-year-old person, received care and were reported in stable condition.
