Shawn D. Simon, 41, tragically lost his life on April 23, 2026, after a devastating head-on collision on State Route 93 in Lawrence Township, Ohio.
Simon was driving a 2005 GMC Sierra northbound when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, causing a violent impact that left his truck mangled and the roadway strewn with debris.
First responders arrived quickly, but Simon had already suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene after being extricated from the wreckage.
The driver of the other vehicle, Terry L. Evans, 70, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Aultman Hospital, while a front-seat passenger walked away uninjured.
