Nicholas Daley Remembered After June 6 Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Crash Near The I-24 West And I-59 South Split
Nicholas Daley, a 35-year-old motorcyclist from Murfreesboro, died after a hit-and-run crash near the I-24 west and I-59 south split on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Georgia State Patrol troopers responded just before 5:00 p.m. after reports of a serious interstate collision involving a motorcycle.
Authorities said a red or brown sedan struck the right side of the motorcycle, pushed it off the roadway, and continued westbound on I-24 without stopping.
Daley then struck the end of a guardrail, and emergency responders provided aid before transporting Daley to a nearby hospital, where medical staff later pronounced Daley deceased.
The crash closed multiple lanes and caused major delays across state lines during the evening response.
Troopers continue to seek information about the red or brown sedan as the inquiry remains ongoing.
Family members will announce obituary and funeral service details at a later time.
