Matthew Garrett Romanish, a beloved member of the Blairsville community, tragically passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 29. His unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Rose Lynch, and George Romanish and Pat Cribbs. He is survived by his parents, George Romanish and Lorraine "Lori" Romanish (Lynch), his sister Marissa Arbore, and numerous extended family members, including uncles, aunts, and cousins. Matthew was deeply loved by his family, and his presence will be sorely missed by all.
In addition to his family, Matthew is survived by his loyal pet Kratos, who brought joy and companionship to his life. The family will gather for a visitation at Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home in Latrobe, PA, on March 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at noon.
The Romanish family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Union Mission or that trees be planted in Matthew's memory, a fitting tribute to his vibrant life.
