Edgar “Jim” Torres passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at age 64, leaving family, friends, coworkers, and loved ones mourning a devoted spouse, parent, sibling, and friend.
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on November 6, 1961, Jim moved to America at age one and later lived in New York and several New Jersey communities.
Jim met Jocelyn Torres in 1999, married in 2001, and the family would have marked a 25th wedding anniversary on May 30, 2026.
Loved ones remembered Jim as generous, hardworking, funny, resilient, and deeply committed to family, including twin daughters and a son.
A fundraiser organized by Amy Torres in Secaucus, NJ, reported $1,535 raised toward a $10,000 goal through 19 donations to help with funeral expenses and family needs.
