Dr. Bartholomew Hott, DDS, of Bluffton, Indiana, passed away on February 24, 2026, following a tragic incident, leaving family, patients, and colleagues in deep sorrow.
His unexpected passing has created a profound void in the community he faithfully served for more than 15 years.
As the proud owner and lead practitioner of Hott Family Dentistry, Dr. Hott built a practice grounded in compassion, professionalism, and a belief that quality oral healthcare supports overall well-being.
Patients throughout Bluffton trusted Dr. Hott for a gentle approach and a commitment to making every visit comfortable and educational.
Dr. Hott earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Purdue University from 2000 to 2004 before completing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Indiana University School of Dentistry from 2004 to 2008.
Faculty honored Dr. Hott with the Dean’s Gold Medal for outstanding national board examination scores and elected Dr. Hott into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
