Rock Hill Community Mourns Brayden Birmele, 18, After May 20, 2026 Motorcycle Collision at York County Intersection
Brayden Birmele, 18, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, died Tuesday morning, May 20, 2026, after a collision at Dave Lyle Boulevard and Mount Gallant Road.
The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. as Brayden traveled through the intersection on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a confirmed green light and a helmet in use.
Authorities said a GMC Yukon turned left across Brayden’s path, and first responders later pronounced Brayden dead.
Rock Hill Police cited the SUV driver for failure to yield while turning left, and officials continue to investigate the case.
Friends, classmates, and community members shared tributes after the news spread, remembering Brayden as warm, bright, and full of life.
