Benson Nguyen, 13, Remembered After Garden Grove Accident As Community Supports Family Memorial Fund
Benson Nguyen, a 13-year-old member of the Tyun Yee Tong Dragon and Lion Dancing Association, died after a devastating accident in Garden Grove, California.
The association created a memorial fundraiser on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, to support Benson’s family with funeral costs, memorial arrangements, and financial needs.
By the time of the post, supporters had contributed $585 toward a $7,500 goal through 13 donations.
Teammates remembered Benson as a bright presence whose energy, kindness, passion, joy, laughter, and dedication strengthened the group and touched people across the community.
The Santa Ana, California, association said memorial service details will be announced later by family members.
