Aniya Wellington Remembered After June 4, 2026 Car Accident As Fundraiser Seeks Support To Bring Them Home To Chicago
Aniya Wellington, 18, passed away on June 4, 2026, after a car accident that also claimed the life of a 4-year-old child.
Loved ones remember Aniya as a cherished child, sibling, and friend whose presence touched many people and left a lasting place in the hearts of family and community members.
Vanessa Riley organized a memorial fundraiser, created on June 11, 2026, to support Aniya’s mother with transportation to Chicago, funeral and burial costs, and other unexpected needs.
As of the post, the fundraiser had raised $925 of a $10,000 goal through 16 donations.
The family hopes to bring Aniya home to Chicago, where loved ones can gather, honor their memory, and celebrate a life remembered as forever 18.
